Northern Ireland Trade Initiative
Vox went on a fact-finding mission to Belfast last week. We were looking for information on the new thrust to support Northern Irish business exporting to the United States and beyond, to find out if – given our background in preparing business for inbound and outbound trade and investment – we could be of service.
Looks like we can.
Efficient, welcoming but above all extremely knowledgeable about the business of exporting Northern Ireland products and services, the team from the Department for Business & Trade Northern Ireland (DBT NI) and Invest Northern Ireland (Invest NI) held an excellent series of talks and workshops at the ICC Belfast as part of International Trade Week 6th to 10th November 2023.
Richard Elliott and Sonam Khan from DBT NI, and Mary De Almeida and Mandy Mills from Invest NI among others gave detailed insight into accessing North and Latin American markets, and showed just how much resource is available to businesses through their respective organizations and the Business Information Centre in Belfast of which Mandy is head.
